I started my career in public accounting at PwC in Internal Audit working with mostly large, publicly traded organizations within the manufacturing, distribution, and SaaS industries. After three years, I left PwC and went to work for Dover Corporation in their Internal Audit group. I was excited about this role because it was a rotation program and I hoped to transition into recruiting for the company once I learned the business. Unfortunately, there were not any opportunities at that time so I took the leap of faith into the recruitment industry thinking I'd only be it in for a year or so. Little did I know I would love the work so much and find a lot of satisfaction working with candidates during some of the toughest times in their lives. I've been in the business since late 2011 and now lead the recruiting function for our Brilliant Management Resources division.
I have a consultative approach and am interested in getting to know you as an individual so that I can match you with consulting or temporary-to-hire opportunities that match your long-term goals from both a professional and personal perspective. While I am unable to deploy all of the candidates I meet on engagements, my goal is to add value to everyone during their search process.
My pronouns are they/them. In my reviews you'll see all different pronouns (she/her or he/him) utilized based on a person's comfort with non-binary pronouns and their interpretation of me. Depending on your experience with non-binary people my pronouns may be hard to adopt at first. One easy trick is to avoid using pronouns and only refer to me using my name.
Why I love recruiting...
I enjoy partnering with consultants to match them to projects that they're excited about and that allow them to continually develop their career. Additionally, I like to coach and advise people on the best way to approach their resume, job search, interviews, and manage conflict on engagements.
When I'm not working, I love to...
Read, workout, play sports, take long bike rides, continuously learn and develop professionally, and spend time with family and friends. I love being by the water and spending time in nature.
A courtesy 'checking-in' turned into a good search-elements conversation, and within a day or two Avery had connected me up with a very good lead. -- Patient to learn about me, and aggressive in proposing ideas/opportunities!
