We are seeking a Counter Sales Representative for a full-time position for our client, a HVAC and refrigeration supply company located in Dover, NH. The Counter Sales Representative will be responsible for providing excellent customer service by assisting customers with their purchases and orders, promoting products, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. The Counter Sales Representative will demonstrate knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating products to meet customer needs, while also providing accurate product and job quotes. Success in this role includes strong customer engagement, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively recommend and promote products. This is a full-time position located in Dover, NH.

As a Counter Sales Representative you will be responsible for:
  • Promptly assist customers at the counter, ask pertinent questions, provide information, take orders, and provide excellent customer service.

  • Effectively promote products to customers to drive up-selling opportunities.

  • Perform data entry and retrieval on our computer system, including entering customer orders, branch transfers, obtaining quotation information, inventory information, and pricing.

  • Follow up on customer orders, resolve problems to the customer's satisfaction, and respond timely to customer inquiries.

  • Answer telephones professionally and pleasantly, assisting customers, taking orders, and providing excellent customer service.

  • Continuously update product knowledge through available resources and stay informed about product inventory and applicability.

  • Effectively communicate relevant policies and/or procedures regarding purchases, returns, credit terms, etc. to customers.

  • Assist in maintaining the appearance of the branch as needed, including straightening, cleaning the counter area, warehouse, bathrooms, etc.

  • Report back orders and/or material discrepancies.

  • Accurately perform cycle counts as required.

  • Perform all duties in a safe manner, following all safety rules and informing the manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.

  • Assist in year-end physical inventories as requested.
