My husband Matt (also Marketing Director with Atlas) have been married for over 20 years. We have two children-Adi and Cooper. We are lucky enough to be raising our family in a wonderful little community in rural Nebraska (Broken Bow)-pretty much smack in the middle of the United States! I love living in the Midwest were we get to enjoy all 4 seasons... but since we love to camp, fish and boat-we love summer the most!
We are animal lovers and our family is currently blessed by Scout (Golden Retriever), Tinker (Shih tzu) and Earl (our cool cat).
I love to travel and see new places. Another reason why I love what I do-I get the inside scoop on all the most amazing places to visit! We stay pretty busy with activities/school with the kiddos right now-but our dream is to travel the country once they graduate and see the country!
Why I love recruiting...
My life has been touched so many times by amazing Healthcare workers...I feel like I have won the career jackpot to be able to work with some many amazing humans each and every day! If what I do in some small way helps someone else achieve their dreams-I am all about it! What a great motivator!
When I'm not working, I love to...
My family and I enjoy camping, fishing and kayaking. I am a total foodie-I love to cook and try new restaurants! We recently finished renovating a house and starting on another one-I definitely think I also watch way too much HGTV and DIY network!!
Misti has been proactive in finding postings that fit my requests.
I appreciate closed loop communication, especially in transactional conversations. I would find it helpful to see/hear responses that clearly address those specifics. There have been a couple times where I'm not sure that I'm communicating my wants or expectations because of that lack of feedback. I do realize that this is at least 50% on me to clarify.
Misti has been accessible and available when I've had questions or needed assistance and when any issues have come up.
I had my very first contract last year and was canceled from my first contract because of COVID a week before I was suppose to leave. Misit was great in compensating me for my time spent working on the online modules. I was able to finally land my first contract and when I started she was great in keeping in touch and asking how it was going. She makes me feel like she has my best interest in mind and I look forward to landing my next contract!

Misti is an excellent recruiter! I have done several assignments with her and she is one of the best in the industry!
Misti has been absolutely amazing! She always responds quickly to any and all of my questions. I feel like she cares about me as a person and always takes my preferences into account. I am so happy that she is my recruiter! :)
Phenomenal experience from start to finish. I still remember the first contact. I have found other recruiters to be either pushy in one direction or overly communicative about other aspects of being a travel nurse when my main focus at the time is just to secure a contract. Of course Misti was professional and attentive, but what also stood out was being straight up about available contracts and what I was looking for. She has been very honest & straightforward about situations that arise with facilities I work at, as well as parts of the process that pop up (such as pending requirements or facility rate changes). I have not ever felt like I was also competing with other travelers she may be handling, as Misti always made me feel like I was her most important traveler. I also faced numerous challenging situations, be it getting sick, stressful work environments, tumultuous job climate, and even a major specialty change mid-contract, and Misti was very helpful & supportive throughout each problem. Despite the norm being that us travelers not only contract shop but also recruiter shop, I have yet to use any other recruiter other than Misti since I started travel nursing a while back. She has been stellar!
Misti has been my go-to recruiter since I started travel nursing in October of 2019. She is honest about everything, whether that be breakdown of pay, chances of getting a job and anything in between. She checks in with me during contracts, and in between contracts, just to see how I'm doing. I have yet to meet any other recruiter who seems to care about me as a person first, whether I am currently working with them or not. She has been a constant source of support during these difficult times and I don't think I'll be working with anyone else for a good long while.
