a well-established business who own and operator their own anaerobic digestion plants, which provide both gas and electricity to the grid. Together we are recruiting a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor for their site in Worcestershire.

Responsibilities and duties of the Maintenance Supervisor role
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will:

Coordinate breakdown responses, ensuring the quickest possible resolution.

Manage contractors, ensuring adherence to safe systems of work and risk assessments.

Perform planned maintenance tasks, record corrective actions on the Shire system, and manage spare parts ordering and follow-up.

Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety policies.

Oversee equipment repairs, refurbishments, and new installations/fabrication work.

Complete timely and accurate documentation.

Support ongoing project work and assist the operations team as needed.

Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by all staff and contractors.

Act as a mentor and role model for new team members.

Act as a management representative in the absence of the Operations Manager.

Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
-
A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
-
IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
-
Experience operating HMI/SCADA systems.
-
Full UK driving Licence
Personal skills
The Maintenance Supervisor role would suit someone who is:

Supervisory or management experience in a Maintenance/Engineering role on an anaerobic digestion plant or similar heavy processing environment

Knowledge of environmental permits, H&S issues and safe working environments

Experience of managing budgets
-
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.

An effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
