Astute’s Nuclear team is partnering with a large UK defence client to recruit an experienced Engineering Manager on a 12-month contract for its Plymouth site.
The Engineering Manager role comes with an hourly rate of up to £75.00. (DOE)
Key skills
-
Team manager – managed up to at least 50 people.

Knowledge of Design and Nuclear Safety
-
Previous experience in Major projects (nuclear or non-nuclear)

Mechanical / Electrical / Civil experience – can have broad experience across all three or specialist in one

Negotiation / collaboration skills - deal with external contract partners

Able to set tasking / deal with queries, assess quality work of design and safety.

Background in Engineering systems and design
-
Make engineering decisions based on design options and approval of designs.

Preferred - extensive knowledge of design codes.

Hybrid working at least 3 days on site

Position is Inside IR35 and offers a rate of up to £150p/h (DOE)
