Field Service Engineer - Biogas

Astute’s Renewable Energy team is partnering with an international industry leader in bioenergy systems and technology who has a commitment to providing technological solutions and innovations for renewable energy. They are looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to cover the Midlands and East Anglia, with occasional travel throughout the UK. The highly valued Field Service Engineer role comes with a salary of £35,000 - £45,000 DOE, van, fuel card, accommodation (if travelling further than 1.5 hours away from home), pension, call out, overtime, bonuses as well as future professional development.   • Carry out the organisation, planning, testing and commissioning of bioenergy systems
  • Complete mechanical and electrical service and maintenance work
  • Supervise contractors during plant build-up phase
  • Be part of a 1 in 4 weekend call out rota/emergency support team
  • Complete all relevant documentation for performance and availability tests
  • Carry out diagnostic work/solve any malfunctions
  • Check controls, both hardware and software
  • Other duties as required
    Professional qualifications: We are looking for someone with the following:
  • Relevant/transferable mechanical/electrical/process engineering qualification
  • Full UK cat B, clean driving license
  Personal skills: The Field Service Engineer role would suit someone who:
  • Has previously working in a Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering environment
  • Is familiar with aspects of an Anaerobic Digestion/Biogas or a similar process/plant environment
  • Has a flexible approach to work and allow for overtime together with occasional UK travel and staying away from home
  • Is organised with a can do attitude and can maintain professionalism at all times
