Assistant/Plant Manager - Anaerobic Digestion/Effluent Treatment

Astute’s Renewables team is partnering on a retained basis with an established business within the Anaerobic Digestion sector, who are looking to recruit an Assistant/Plant Manager for their AD/Effluent treatment site near Lockerbie, Scotland. The role will play a vital part in supporting the Operations Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Anaerobic Digestion and Effluent Treatment Plant. The position would suit someone with managerial or supervisory experience from a Water/effluent treatment background, who takes a proactive approach to problem solving. The role comes with a salary of up to £50,000 (depending on experience) and excellent benefits package.   • Oversee the day to day running of the anaerobic and effluent treatment plant
  • Optimising process plant operations
  • Weekly and monthly reporting of plant efficiency, trends and analysing data
  • Providing solutions to technical variances
  • Managing the relationships with external bodies, such as the Environmental Agency
  • Managing on site colleagues, such as Operators and Engineers
  • Review existing systems and procedures
  • Site maintenance and coordination of PPM
  • Other duties as required
      Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:  
  • WAMITAB is desired
  • A relevant Engineering qualification is an advantage
    Personal skills The Assistant/Plant Manager role would suit someone who has:  
  • Experience working in Water Treatment or Effluent Treatment
  • Process engineering experience is an advantage
  • A proactive and problem solving approach
  • The ability to lead, guide and mentor the onsite team
