Provide hands-on HSEQ support across the operational Waste-to-Energy facility, ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality legislation.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety walks to identify hazards, assess risks, and drive continuous improvement.
Support and lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training to operational staff, contractors, and visitors.
Monitor and ensure compliance with the site’s Environmental Permit, including emissions, waste handling, and spill response procedures.
Maintain and update all HSEQ documentation, including risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), COSHH assessments, and safety plans.
Actively promote a strong safety culture by engaging with teams on-site and encouraging proactive hazard reporting.
Support internal and external audits (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001), ensuring readiness and contributing to continual improvement initiatives.
Track and report HSEQ performance metrics, producing monthly reports for management and regulatory bodies as required.
Liaise with regulatory agencies (e.g. Environment Agency, HSE) and ensure timely communication of any compliance matters or reporting requirements.
