Astute’s EPC Power team is partnering with a leading EPC Contractor within the UK Power Industry to recruit 2x Labourers on a 3 months contract basis for their Open Cycle Gas Turbine project based
The General Operative positions come with an hourly rate from £13.00 to £16.00.
Key skills and responsibilities:
- Perform general and specialized construction tasks, such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, painting, or welding, as required.
- Operate power tools and equipment, including saws, drills, forklifts, and other machinery, safely and effectively.
- Assist in the installation, repair, or maintenance of structures, fixtures, and systems (e.g., electrical, HVAC, or plumbing).
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to execute tasks accurately.
- Prepare and clean job sites by removing debris, loading/unloading materials, and ensuring equipment is organized and maintained.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Troubleshoot issues and recommend effective solutions for on-site challenges.
Location, remuneration and timeframe of the Site Labourer roles:
- Stewartby, Bedfordshire.
- £13.00 to £16.00 per hour (Inside IR35)
- Start date - January 2025
