Project Site Manager

Day Rate - £600.00 to £650.00
Duration - 24 months
Location - Ayrshire
The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Project Site Manager to over the build of a 200MW Wind Farm based in Ayrshire. The Project Site Manager will be leading the end Client team for this project, overseeing all site activities from cradle to grave.
Role Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates leadership and commitment to HSEQ. Actively encourages and leads the full project teams to implement and comply with project HSEQ requirements
- Has overall responsibility for ensuring Company HSEQ Management Systems are maintained, reviewed and implemented on site and that HSE hazards are eliminated or mitigated to the extent practicable.
- Manages the every day Construction of the project.
- Contributes experience of putting into effect standardised methods in order to identify complex problems
- Develops guidelines and requirements
- Ensures that project is built on time and within budget.
- Collaborates within site and project team organisation and specialist departments
- Documents and traces non-conformities, deviations and claims
- Schedules final erection inspections
- Provides overall assurance that actions arising from HSEQ inspections and audits are completed, closed and effective
- Co-operates and exchanges experience with colleagues responsible for products and other project teams and departments
- Progresses change requests (technical, time and costs)
- Establishes lessons learned for current and future projects
- Acts as point of contact for contractor's management
- Establishes and monitors key milestones
- Work closely with the EPC team on site.
- Delivers Lessons Learned and feedback for current and future projects
- Is aware of the HSE requirements relevant to their role, and implements and complies with them
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree or HNC/HND in building engineering, civil engineering or construction related subject or alternatively experience working in the Wind Sector / construction industry.
- Vast experience with overseeing the build and delivery of large-scale Wind Farms in the UK.
- Institute of Civil Engineering (ICE) (desirable)
- Several years‘ experience
- Experienced in the co-ordination of contracts and contract management
- Experienced as a leader in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) management and has knowledge of relevant HSEQ legal requirements
- Must have Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent
- Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC) or equivalent
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications.
