Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading energy company to recruit a Safety Advisor on a 7-month contract for its Cork site, supporting a major demolition and decommissioning project.
The Safety Advisor role comes with a competitive daily rate.
Key skills:
- Provide client-side safety assurance by monitoring contractor compliance with Health & Safety, environmental and waste management legislation.
- Review and monitor RAMS, permits to work and high-risk activities to ensure work is completed safely and in line with project requirements.
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety walks, promoting a positive safety culture and driving continuous improvement.
- Support incident, near miss and good catch investigations, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions.
- Liaise with project Health & Safety, Environmental and Asbestos teams, contractors and key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and compliance.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence safe behaviours across site.
- Previous experience on demolition, decommissioning or major industrial construction projects is highly desirable.
