Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Team Leader
you will:
- Prepare, review, and advise upon process plant documentation, such as heat & mass balances, PFD’s, P&ID’s, process calculations, data sheets, design documentation, data sheets and functional descriptions.
- Timely production of high-quality scientific models, reports, and other technical documentation.
- Supporting client enquiries and providing technical advice and expertise.
- Flexible to travel when required, including very occasional overseas travel.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Qualified to master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent field).
- Ideally a Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
- Experienced across a process manufacturing or engineering consultancy environment.
- Experienced with design development, pre-FEED and FEED studies.
- Prior experience with MATLAB, Simulink, HYSYS, Aspen Plus or similar.
- Experience working across waste industry or applicable academic research or oil and gas.
Personal skills
The Senior Electrical Engineer role would suit someone who is:
- Able to successfully work as part of a larger team as well as autonomously.
- A good working knowledge of Pyrolysis, Gasification of waste or Carbon capture and storage.
- Flexibility to travel in the UK and occasionally overseas.
