Quality Manager

Astute’s Nuclear team is partnering with a multi technical engineering business, who have secured a significant contract within the Nuclear new build market to recruit a Quality Manager for its Bristol site.    The essential Quality Manager role comes with a salary up to £80,000 and flexible hybrid working.     If you’re a Quality Manager and are looking to work for an organisation that puts integrity and people at the forefront of everything it does, then submit your CV to apply today.                      Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Project Director you will:  
  • Manage the Project Quality Team
  • Manage the quality plan ensuring it is kept up to date and amended as needed.
  • Be responsible for the quality inspections and audits across the contract, developing schedules and managing the process across third party, supplier and internal works.
  • Participate in client surveillance visits and audits, ensuring follow-up on findings.
  • Reporting on quality assurance both internally and for the client
  • Train all project staff on the QMS
  • Identify and monitor any non-conformance and manage the non-conformance process.
  • Establish and follow-up on quality action plans to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure contract quality requirements are addressed in the Management System and are implemented by all project staff, sub-contractors and broader supply chain ensuring delivery of project works/goods and services from design, through installation to Commissioning to required quality levels.
  • Any other duties as required.
    Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:  
  • Degree holder in Quality Management or Engineering discipline  
  • Minimum 5 years’ Quality Management Experience
  • Nuclear Experience
  • Detailed knowledge of UK Nuclear Quality Standards, Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements and practice
  • Experience in developing and establishing an operational QMS
  • Experience of the use of quality plans/inspection and test plans/follow-up documents
  • Lead Auditor professional accreditation.
  • ISO 9001: 2015 / ISO19443: 2018 auditing experience
    Personal skills The Quality Manager role would suit someone who has:  
  • Ability to produce and present professional management reports/presentations.
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels with both staff and at senior client levels
  • Aptitude for reconciliation
