Responsibilities and duties of the SHEQ Manager role Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will:
  • Promote a proactive safety culture, ensuring employees, contractors, and visitors understand and uphold their Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality responsibilities.

  • Lead, manage, and support the SHEQ team, fostering professional growth and high performance.

  • Implement, communicate, and maintain SHEQ objectives, policies, and procedures, driving continuous improvement.

  • Oversee compliance and continual improvement of Business Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 55001).

  • Ensure effective engagement and alignment of SHEQ initiatives with business objectives and legal requirements.

Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (with a willingness to work toward Diploma).

  • Relevant experience within a 24/7 industrial environment.

  • Previous experience in a health and safety role.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement SHE strategies and performance measures.

  • Strong knowledge of current UK legislation on SHE requirements.
