HIU Engineer

Astute’s Power Team is partnering with a leading District Heating company to recruit a HIU Engineer working across their sites in London and South.  The HIU Engineer role comes with salary of up to £45,000 + private medical insurance + company van + benefits. If you’re a HIU Engineer with at least 3 years’ experience and looking to join a company with amazing progression opportunities then submit your CV to apply today.      Responsibilities and duties of the HIU Engineer role Reporting to the Lead HIU Engineer you will: •    Carry out servicing, repairs, and fault-finding on a wide range of HIUs across multiple manufacturers. •    Complete planned preventative maintenance activities in accordance with operational schedules. •    Respond to reactive callouts to restore heat supply and troubleshoot HIU failures. •    Participate in a shared on-call rota to support emergency service needs. •    Support commissioning and decommissioning procedures as part of ongoing works. •    Work safely and responsibly, ensuring isolation protocols (both mechanical and electrical) are followed. •    Accurately complete digital work orders and maintain detailed service records. •    Communicate effectively with internal teams and external site contacts. •    Assist with project work including the development of scope for plant remediation and upgrades. •    Contribute to the ongoing training and development of junior engineers and team members. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: •    Minimum of 3 year’s experience as a HIU service engineer, with a strong understanding of HIU systems •    Basic electrical competency, including mechanical and electrical safe isolation. •    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings such as P&IDs and schematics. •    Full UK driving license (held for at least 12 months). •    Relevant certifications (e.g. Part P, Part G) are preferred. •    Can work an on-call rota (approx.. 1 in 7 weeks) Personal skills The HIU Engineer role would suit someone who is: •    Self Motivated, you taking ownership of work and deliver high standards •    Organised, you can manage your time effectively  •    Personable, you are a strong communicator and engage with clients clearly  Salary and benefits of the HIU Engineer role •    Starting salary of up to £35,000 - £45,000 •    Benefits package including company van + medical insurance  •    Opportunity to work for a leading district heating company   INDPOW
