Job Title: Data Entry Pharmacy Technician

Pay: Based on Experience and Licensure Hours: Full-time Mon-Fri with a Saturday rotation Start Date: ASAP

This role requires an active California Pharmacy Technician license and a current PTCB or NHA national certification.

This is not a traditional retail pharmacy role and does not involve routine prescription filling, counting, or dispensing duties. Instead, this position operates in a call-center style pharmacy environment focused on prescription processing, insurance resolution, data entry, and patient support. As a Mail Order Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a key role in processing prescriptions accurately, resolving insurance issues, and supporting pharmacy operations to ensure patients receive their medications promptly. You'll work closely with experienced pharmacy professionals while maintaining high standards of accuracy, productivity, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately enter prescriptions into the pharmacy system

• Interpret prescription directions (SIG codes) • Calculate and verify accurate days' supply and quantity (ex: determining total quantity needed based on dosage and duration) • Process and resolve insurance and third-party claim issues • Research and troubleshoot prescription processing concerns • Provide professional phone-based support to members, providers, and insurance companies • Maintain productivity and accuracy standards in a high-volume environment • Work independently while collaborating with pharmacists and fellow technicians

What You'll Bring

• Active California Pharmacy Technician license

• PTCB or NHA certification required • Previous Pharmacy Technician experience • Strong data entry experience in a pharmacy setting • Solid understanding of prescription math, including days' supply calculations • Experience handling insurance claims and payments • High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment • Strong verbal and written communication skills
