As a floater, the responsibilities are all the same - the float position requires the MA to learn all providers and procedures as she will be the backup for vacations and call outs.  The main location is in Cary, unless a situation arises where an MA is needed in the Morrisville office, which is about 20 min away from the Cary office. • Obtain medical records from other physicians’ offices as requested by the providers
• Prepare patients for exam and treatment by taking and recording vital signs, symptoms and other necessary measurements and recording chief complaints.
• Responsible for performing all in office testing ordered by physicians during patient encounters which include but not limited to vaccine/medication administration, EKG, urine dipsticks, visual acuity, hearing test, flu/strep/COVID testing and INR.
• Coordinate and manage patient care including pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions and scheduling of patients for clinic visits as needed.
• Responsible for communicating test results to patients.
• Provide  support to providers/patients with daily tasking received via phone/email from patients.  
• Maintain a clean, functional environment including disinfection of equipment, exam rooms and storage areas.
• Responsible for prioritization of patient flow through the clinical process.
• Assist providers with medication refills and prior authorizations.  
• Experience with EMR systems: 2 years, Athena is a plus but we will train. 

Requirements/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two or three years of working experience in a medical office with administrative/clinical duties.
• Reliable and dependable with little or no supervision.
