Accurately dispenses properly labeled medications following the scanning process. Supports and follows the most up to date USP guidelines (797/800). Understands the Abacus software / Baxa pump. Prioritizes and monitors daily operational duties in assigned areas using support personnel in the most effective manner, including coordination of break and lunch (dinner), to ensure patient care services are maintained. Monitors drug supply and initiates orders as required as well as regularly inspecting pharmacy and assigned department inventory to ensure that drugs which are outdated are removed from stock. Properly maintains all pharmacy records as required by State, Federal and Department of Pharmacy regulations for the dispensing and disposition of narcotics, dangerous drugs and investigational drugs. Follows departmental and hospital safety policies and procedures.
