to advance your career? If you are a good communicator and collaborator, then we have a great job for you. We have a client looking for a MA to join an experienced nursing team to manage our membership-based, concierge internal medicine practice where we provide high quality personalized care.
MA Duties and Responsibilities:
- Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients.
- Relay necessary messages to staff/providers.
- Strong communication skills and medical terminology/clinical knowledge.
- Strong multi-task skills and able to adapt working tasks as needed, strong attention to detail.
- Verify necessary information and record it in the medical record..
- Triage patients with medical concerns, provide basic medical advice and document thorough messages for further advice from the providers as needed.
- Type correspondence as directed, sort and deliver mail, medical records and other correspondence such as medical forms.
- Obtain medical records from other physicians’ offices as requested by the providers
- Prepare patients for exam and treatment by taking and recording vital signs, symptoms and other necessary measurements and recording chief complaints.
- Responsible for performing all in office testing ordered by physicians during patient encounters which include but not limited to vaccine/medication administration, EKG, urine dipsticks, visual acuity, hearing test, flu/strep/COVID testing and INR.
- Coordinate and manage patient care including pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions and scheduling of patients for clinic visits as needed.
- Responsible for communicating test results to patients.
- Provide support to providers/patients with daily tasking received via phone/email from patients.
- Maintain a clean, functional environment including disinfection of equipment, exam rooms and storage areas.
- Responsible for prioritization of patient flow through the clinical process.
- Assist providers with medication refills and prior authorizations.
- Experience with EMR systems: 2 years, Athena is a plus but we will train.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two or three years of working experience in a medical office with administrative/clinical duties.
- Reliable and dependable with little or no supervision.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Customer service orientation.
- One who collaborates well with others.
License/Certification:
- Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range: up to $28hr DOE

Day shift
- Weekly schedule: 8 AM - 5 PM, half days offered once a week.
- Monday to Friday - no weekends
