ASG Skilled has partnered with a local metal fabrication company looking for a skilled CNC Machinist
The CNC Machinist job in Cleveland, OH is responsible for understanding the process of setting up & operation of the CNC machines. This is a full-time position.
CNC Machinist Qualifications:
- High School Graduate/Technical Degree/Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 Years of experience
CNC Machinist Required Skills:
- Review orders, drawings and prints for accuracy and applicability.
- Assess and maintain inventory needs.
- Be able to download programs, perform test operations, and produce parts to order/drawing/specification.
- Set-up and use lathe(s) to produce parts to order/drawing/specification.
- Set-up and use milling machine(s) to produce parts to order/drawing/specification.
- Set-up and use drill press(es) to produce parts to order/drawing/specification.
- Set-up and use vertical and horizontal cut-off saw(s) to produce parts to order/drawing/specification.
- Set-up and use planer(s) to produce parts to order/drawing/specification.
- Assemble parts to final product.
- Perform routine machine maintenance.
- Visualize, design and create fixtures and tooling for manufacturing efficiency.
Other Duties:
- CNC programming – be able to perform minor programming edits at the machine.
- Fabricate steel parts to specification.
- Fabricate plastic parts to specification.
- Assist with Equipment Assembly as necessary.
- Keep all work areas clean and organized.
- Document time & material when producing parts.
- Follow all safety policies.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Ability to read, visualize and follow drawings, blue prints, and schematics.
- Experience with HAAS equipment/machine interface is a plus.
- Ability to learn job-related material through oral instruction and observation. This learning takes place mainly in an on-the-job training setting.
- Ability to accurately read measuring instruments (i.e. calipers, tapes, gauges, etc.)
- Ability to use basic hand and/or power tools.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Strong work ethic – ability to report on time for all scheduled work days/shifts.
CNC Machinist Details:
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am to 3:30pm
Pay Rate: $19 to $23
