Grinder Job Description 1st Shift $20 to $23 Grinder Job description We are seeking a candidate that has Centerless Bar Grinding experience. You must have 1-year minimum in the metal manufacturing industry and specifically with centerless bar grinding experience. This requirement includes large machinery- Not hand-held grinders. This is not an entry-level position. Hourly pay is negotiable and will be commensurate with knowledge and experience. This is a 1st shift position- Monday through Thursday 7am-5:30pm with overtime opportunities on Friday. Grinder Responsibilities Include: Set up, adjust and operate a manual Cincinnati #2 centerless bar grinder. Perform production grinding operations such as OD/ID . Record quality measurements and follow production standards and ISO 9001 regulations and guidelines. Perform basic troubleshooting and make appropriate adjustments. Setup and verify preset gages for proper calibrations and required. Ability to read and follow work instructions and general policies. Ability to read a tape measure, basic math understanding. Good communication and team member skills a must. Grinder Requirements: You must be able to pass a drug test. Prior centerless grinding background required- 1-year minimum! High school diploma/GED preferred. The preferred capability of using a variety of measuring instruments includes: calipers, micrometers, and snap gages. Grinder Physical Demands: Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, sit- lift 30 lbs- specific vision abilities include close/distance/color/peripheral vision and depth perception.
